Are you an artist or educator with expertise to share?
Sessions that are a good fit for the Summit cover a wide range of topics in the arts and arts education, including but not limited to:
student performance
community engagement and development
integration with other academic subjects and professional disciplines
workforce development
advocacy
artistic techniques
grant writing
Session style can be hands-on, lecture, panel, or round-table discussion. You may submit more than one session proposal.
About the Alabama Arts Summit
Examining the essential contributions of the Arts to all endeavors: fostering an inquisitive mindset; encouraging innovative thinking; and championing the interdisciplinary integration that drives progress and expands the boundaries of human knowledge.
The Summit, now in its 21st year, gathers people from all endeavors and professions, who share a desire to improve education, the economy, and quality of life for all Alabamians through the arts.
Registration is OPEN!
Early Bird Registration is $175
(After Jan 31, 2026, the fee is $225)
It includes conference meals and conference materials.

The recommended conference hotels are
the Hilton Garden Inn and Home2 Suites by Hilton
at 250 18th Street South, Birmingham.
They are located next door the the Red Mountain Theatre.
Recommended Hotel Information:
FYI: Parking at the hotels is $20/day for self-parking and recommended because street parking is metered and limited. Both hotels (which are housed in the same building) are within walking distance - you just have to cross a side street to go to the Red Mountain Theatre. Very convenient!
